Jumper Breeders: Which stallions are you keeping an eye on for the 2013 season?
Always interested to hear which jumper stallions are on my fellow breeders' radars for the upcoming 2013 season! Fresh-cooled or frozen, young/old, any breed, anywhere, I'd like to hear who has your attention!

Baywithchrome2- We have similar taste. I can't wait for my Epsom Gesremay foal out of my Libero x Voltaire mare next year!!! We will use again next year, also expecting a Diktator foal (aimed at hunter ring).
Current List:
Bacardi VDL
Eldorado
Epsom Gesremay
Triple X III
Mylord Carthago (wishful thinking that they will change mind and freeze for states)

I am really liking Bosh Blue so far...still on the fence though about a young stallion, but I want to stick to a Canadian (Fresh) stallion this year... (So far we will see next spring if I change my mind by then...)

Since I only do about one Jumper a year, my eye is on Carracci!

Diabolo D'Esquelmes
I bred a mare to him this year, but she did not take. She cultured gram negative and we infused her after breeding hoping it would be enough to clean her up and nope. Too late in the season for me to try again, so I have two mares picked for him in 2013

We sure do have similiar taste I've heard that Mylord Carthago might be a possibility. Here's hoping!
Congrats on the Diktator foal. His foals were really well received this year on the BWP tour.

Wow, you guys have good taste
Some names I'm not very familiar with, so now I have an excuse to spend some more time on stallion research!

Love that you bred to Diktator for a hunter! I bred to Carracci for a hunter this year...
I just saw a very impressive young stallion at the Welcome Stake last night. Cyklon 1083 (Cardento/Cortus/Cantus) is a new (?) Spy Coast Farm stallion. He's very scopey and agile & rideable. Certainly worth taking a look at!
Oh, and I am so jealous of those of you with Epsom Gesmerays coming - LOVE him!

Since my breeding season ended in the toilet, I have leftover breedings I need to use next year. Probably Contefino, Quinar or something frozen from Karen Reid, and Diamant de Semilly. If I use up my Diamant and don't get a pregnancy, I may try Tangelo v/d Zuuthove since I really like my Narcos II colt, and Tangelo seems to be his best available son right now and I like the bottom of his pedigree too.
So Elizabeth, who are you using ? :-)

I am considering breeding one of my mares to either Contiano, Chicardo or Cathalido.

For once, I don't know! The only one I know of for sure is Diamant de Semilly. I have two breedings left over from this year to use, plus a bunch of frozen in the tank, but I'm trying to decide if I should do some more shopping?

On my wish list for only two mares:
Tangelo vd Z.
Cabachon
Calido I
Namelus R
Van Gogh
Crelido
Willemoes
Cantus is well represented in my list, which I really like, but Tangelo might be the the one for my mare.
There's a whole bunch of time to decide, but this is my favorite way to pass time instead of doing household chores.

We have some really nice stallions to consider on our roster for 2013. We recently added Obourg (BWP Elite by Richebourg) standing for fresh in 2013 for the first time in NA. Along with many more like Dakota VDL (Casall x Contender x Landgraf) who is approved KWPN, and recently approved BWP and going for AHHA approval next month. Vegas (Voltaire x Joost x Abgar) is here for fresh, Hidalgo (BWP approved Darco x Latano x Joost) and several more for frozen too.
Great line up to consider for jumping stallions!
Also fans of Contefino, Ciceras Icewater, Quinar, Douglas, Limbus, Orlando and more.........so many great stallions here in the US to choose from! Gets better and better each year!
