Doc Solomon at Portland Meadows is who I use (and I'm about an hour from PDX). Great, thorough job (power tools) and he and his staff are great about teaching/explaining things. He's always having me stick my hands in the mouth to feel ridges and hooks before/after and then look to see what I'm feeling.

Dr. Dave Klugh is very, very good. Reasonably priced (in fact, he's running a special right now, thru end of Sept.). Prompt, calm, professional--I was very impressed. I watched him do 6 horses in our barn, each one was treated to both power and hand float as indicated. He is careful not to over do the float, either. Good guy!
I've also used Dr. Vetter--outstanding, but to have come down, it would be cost efficient only if you set up a small group (unless $$ is not a huge concern). Dr. Benarroch has also done a horse of mine--he's a bit tough to schedule at times, but a super vet all around.
