I referenced the people he is associating with. The Lawyer who is representing JB (and unlike a public defender, has no obligation to defend her) as well as the sleazy breeder who owns the facility he is training out of. Just sad that I thought more of him than that....but the company you keep and all.

If he is indeed at the farm mentioned in the last post on that thread, you may want to go back & read PP's posts about the Hanoverian mare she purchased from said breeder. It will explain a lot.

Ah, OK, will try to find it. Even so, there are only so many places around to train that have cross country courses. That is the only one that I know of, other than up in Santa Rosa.

I suppose a narcissist with no conscience who behaves in antisocial ways could be deemed mentally ill. But I consider that a copout and think people should take responsibility for themselves and their animals. I am curious to know if she ever had job and earned her way to "the top of the world", or if she was always one to live in a trashy mudpit but came into a windfall such as her inlaws' equity line?

I believe horsenut that Equinedrivers name was removed from a post prompting those wronged to get in contact with her. Since she/he appears to have not followed through or perhaps just been a fluffer planted by JB herself there is no point in contacting her.

It is scary to imagine a nurse keeping her inlaws in such hellish conditions! I hope her patients received better care than her inlaws, seized horses, dead bathtub chickens and the dogs living in a field in crates!

I am still curious if she mined her inlaws equity line to buy all the expensive stallions and imported horses ? Nurses can't afford that kind of lifestyle, even competent ones. So where did the money come from?

Last night between 7pm - 7:30pm I tried to get on this forum (or the Chronicle board in general) and could only get to the index page of SHB. I did see however there was an update on the right hand side of the page, under "Most Popular" (posted by the Chronicle) regarding a statement made. I believe it was called "Burnell issues statement" or something like that. It is now gone and I'm thinking that was part of the reason I couldn't get on the site (due to the removal of the statement). Did anyone else see that? Or better yet, get to read it?

(I even reported the site being down during that time)

As an Animal Science graduate who did not persue a vet career; I can honestly say it's a SCARY sight to see "what" actually makes it into vet school. The majority of students who persue vet school (and I say the majority) are extremely book smart but have zero common sense when it comes to working with large animals ex: horses, cattle, sheep, etc. The majority of them have a dog or cat at home but have never touched a large animal.They can barely put a halter on a horse, they are extremely smart. They go to college and study the "science" of animals in a classroom and rarely actually learns the necessary animal skills to work with them.

I went to school and graduated with an associates and a bachelors in A.S. because I had worked with large animals since I was very young and I wanted to make a career out of it. I have a lot of common sense large animal knowledge that I gathered frommy years and years of working with these animals. I was never good in a classroom or studying and I hated working in lab conditions. I was the type of student who'd much rather be in the barn getting my hands dirty. With that being said; I had no interest in vet school because I never had a 4.0 GPA and I was never going to make it in if I applied. When we were working in the barns, hands-on, with any animals I always found myself assisting the non-experienced pre-vet students with any and all of the activities they had to do. They were simply-put: clueless. I wasn't the only one to notice;it was an ongoing joke with my fellow classmates about the pre-vet students. Extremely book smart but no skills when it actually came to working with the animals they would one day be working on.

The above story doesn't cover all vet students; there are a handful out there who have the entire package: brains and real-life working with animal skills.

The fact remains and it's the honest truth: the majority of vet students or recent graduates are in-fact pretty "dumb"; you'd probably be scared for your horse's life if you witnessed their "skills"
