Watched the race video. She showed a lot of grit and dug right down there at the end. That might be a really good thing for an eventer. Plus, she is cute as a bug. Someone get her and have a lot of fun with her.
Still working on the husband side of things. He's being all logical like what poor timing it is, we just bought a house, etc etc... I'm also a little hesitant on her only being 15.2hh. Realistically, she would be resale project for me and coming from hunter/jumper land, 15.2 could be a difficult resell. But I still think she might be worth a look - if she can make the strides then she certainly looks like she wants to jump cute enough.
Man, I just love this mare. She reminds me so much of my old mare. Unfortunately we are already short one stall at our farm, but I'm trying to convince my friend, who's in the market for an event prospect, to go check her out. Just sent her another email with the price drop.
I'm seriously tempted by this mare, as my mare just came up lame, and I get twitchy when I don't have something to ride. She looks like a fun project! Its about a 4 hour drive from me though, and that gets expensive hauling a trailer if I decided I didn't like her when I got there. Is there anyone in that area that could go and take a look at her for me, and maybe take some decent pics?
If somebody is close enough that it wouldn't be too out of your way, or take half a day, I would love to get some pics/video of her to decide if she's worth stepping out of my "only chestnut mares" rule for...
