Very cool! Thanks for posting. Longwood is super nice, I love schooling there and their jump ring is awesome!

What kind of proof of JC registration one needs?
I have one tattoed OTTB and one never raced TB without tattoo, both are listed and pedigreed on Equineline etc. but I don't have their actual papers.
Thanks.

Kinscem,
The horses just need to be registered with the Jockey Club. If you have the tattoo you can verify the name via the JC
https://www.registry.jockeyclub.com/...HelpDeskTattoo
They will be verifying the horses since the show is only for tb's registered with the JC. You do not need to have the papers, just verify the horse descripton with the name, etc...
If you are unsure, you might contact Candace via their website to clarify their req's. http://tbhorseshow.com/about-us/contact-us/
Thanks!

Hi!
I am helping with the Dec 2nd event in Ocala.
Call me anytime with questions. 352-895-9302 We are SO excited about it! These shows are popping up all over the USA! We will have prize $, awesome ribbons and lots of Equine Product Manufactuers are giving us all sorts of goodies!
So weird, back in my show days there was the "Non Thoroughbred Division" tables totally turned now.
Help spread the word!
Regards,
Karen Grimes

I wish they would have one near Lexington, KY very near the time that riders and their horses are there for other events. It would be really, really super to have one in connection with Rolex. Maybe the State of Kentucky could sponsor it?
Just a wild hare idea!

I wish Fair Hill would add dressage. The Florida show has dressage, and the more exposure to TBs doing dressage, the better for them. Both as eventers and as dressage horses.

I wish AEC's would participate in the T.I.P program. It really sucks that they don't. Does not speak well of our association IMHO.
Anybody have any inside info as to why this is?

Are all these shows part of a single TB organization? Like the TIP? Or other?
If a person was shopping for a nice low-level all-rounder and specifically wanted an OTTB, would one of these shows be a good place to shop? Or at least make some good connections? Stuck in the upper Carolinas, hundreds of miles away from any of the TB-intense areas that hold these shows, anybody have an idea which of these posted so far would be largest?
Right now Ocala looks to be the closest drive (at 10 hours) but I would love to go to one earlier than December...

Fox Wood...the Fair Hill would be the best bang for your buck...its a whole weekend devoted to TB's w/ a wonderful planned tour of Fair Hill Training Center and Steuart Pittman to pick brains with.
Alot of us OTTB re-sellers in the area will have horses competing.
Great time to see horses and you could leave a post on the FaceBook page saying you will be in the area shopping

This is a VERY OTTB rich area and not so spread out you would need to spend you whole day drving all over the place.
Plenty of COTHer's to connect with as well....

You could contact Jan www.tbhorseshow.com
Funny, I was going to this myself here but quickly realized that I do not know how nor want to put on a Horse Show. I contacted Jan. My job is to get sponsors ( no problem so far) and spread the love!
I`m sure a TB Show in Atlanta is warranted! i think this is really going to take off!
