Congrats, she looks very sweet! It was all meant to be, she is one very lucky girl and so are you.
Does she have a natural tail? Both of my rescues have natural tails and I love them that way.
Here is one of my minis, also a stray, adopted 3 years ago:

And here is the most recent adoptee.

Black, fuzzy dogs are hard to get good pictures of!

I dont know if she has been groomed in the past year, she is very overgrown and had such horrible mats in her paws. I attempted to shave them (and realized very quickly how talented poodle groomers are), and well, mats are gone but she looks pretty funny now. I didnt dare touch her head - she will see a groomer in a few weeks. I did manage to brush her body out, I think got most of the tangles out. She is very poofy now
Your poodles are adorable, they look very nicely taken care of!!

Congrats!
Reminds me of my Grandmother's poodle-mix, who was for some reason named Ginger. Granny loved to take pictures (with her Brownie camera) and all of them turned out with the dog looking like a black ink blot.

Congrats! It's the best feeling to rescue a pup. I know ours can be a pain in the butt sometimes but when he cuddles up next to me on the couch it's all worth it

Beautiful curls! She looks almost all or pure poodle to me, cutie pie. I really want either a red or apricot miniature, I love those dogs but I am up to my ears in a new black lab puppy that we brought back with us from North Carolina. Welcome to your new home Samba from Cadie of Currituck County, all the way to the PNW. I guess you read "Little Black Samba" too?!
