    Default Barker Saddlery Saddles

Does anyone know anything about these saddles? I've seen one that looks gorgeous, but can't find reviews anywhere. I believe that they are made in the UK.

    Well, hello!

Sorry, I've tried to find out something about them, but their info is thin on the web.

The saddle looks decent, though with more dressage trend than jump, IMO.

I have found someone on another board who actually knows the person who make them. They also make custom saddles for Para riders.

Whicker has a thread over on the disabilities forum where she is looking for a para saddler. You might want to post what you know over on that thread. It looks like a gorgeous saddle.

I took a chance and bought the saddle, and OH DEAR we have a problem.....

Well, this is a bit embarrassing, I've owned a few Stubbens, always a little older, I've had a couple of nearly new lesser saddles, but I have NEVER owned a saddle like this before.

Loved it when I opened the box and saw it and felt it.
Loved it when I threw it on Ben and it fitted him (Gutted that it doesn't fit Wills)
Adored it when I rode in it.

    And the problem?

Well I've always been happy to check my saddle in the truck on the passenger seat beside me, but now I have to buy a carrier for this one.

I've always been happy to lead a horse from the arena, put him in his stall, and leave him tacked up if it isn't long until I need him again. Last weekend I was having kittens as I led him out of the school, along the passageway, through the door of the stall, "PLEASE keep in the middle there Ben" and then had to seriously decide if I was going to risk leaving the saddle on.

Yup, I have fallen in love with a saddle, I think I would struggle to let someone else ride in it. Oh, and *inserts pink face blushing smiley* *whispers* "I have to buy my new saddle some better leathers, because the ones that are on it aren't nice enough"
