    Tamara, I just don't know what to add or say about this. It's horrific and unimaginable that you and your children and extended family are going through this. I am thinking about you.

    My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours Tamara.

    Just because I don't post regularly on this thread, it does not mean that you are not in my thoughts. (((HUGS)))

    Oh, honey, you don't have to go to those things. A friend or relative can go for you ,just as your sister did, and tell you the gist of the proceedings.

    There is no need for you to have to experience any more ugliness and pain than you have already.
    I'm sure your DH would not want you to suffer any more and being present at court proceedings is an unnecessary addition of distress for many grieving people. Hugs and Best Wishes from Colorado. You and your family are in my thoughts.

    The holidays are tough enough without the added burden of this going on. Know we are thinking of you and your family, and are wishing you well.

    I regret that I am months late to this thread. I just wanted to offer my heartfelt condolences to Tamara and all of Calvin's loved ones. There are just no words... This is a terrible tragedy and I wish you and your family peace.

    Thinking of you and often do when I pass hay fields being harvested and baled. Big hugs to you and your family!

    hi all

    His birthday came and went and I had hoped to get thru it in one piece...then I got the note from his Scholarship folks and they had sent to me the current total and the notes from the people who donated.

    immediate.burst.into.tears.

    but it was like getting your hand burned searing sudden pain and then just a dull ache...Thanksgiving was an eerie thing as if I was floating in a place just away from where I was. But family and friends did all they could for me but in the end it's up to me.

    when it is too oppressive I just start walking up to the graveyard. It's better there.
    thanks again to all.

    Focus on the good that scholarship will do, that may help a bit.

    {HUGS}
    Getting through the awful "firsts without" is especially hard this time of year when all the media is repeatedly telling you to celebrate.

    Like Bluey said: think of the Good coming from the scholarship and let the rest slide off.
