In the case of Boo's pic, I think that he must have some unicorn back there somewhere hidden on his JC papers

This is absolutely brilliant. Either your photographer has a true knack for catching horsey silly-faces, or your horses have rubber faces and are camera hogs. LOVE IT!!

This one deserves mention for other reasons... but not really it's own topic:
Does this horse come with a head?

    Oh yes, photo #2
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes the reason is you're stupid and you made a bad decision.

    Poor horse needs an upgrade.

Yucky feet, dark barn with obligatory cobweb overload and what looks like moldy hay. Awesome!

Oh man… I would totally be picking up this little guy if I were looking. That is how I ended up with my mare! Found an add for “cute appaloosa – 1 month old – female- for sale” online and was sent photos of a sad little ribby appy in a dirt pen:

    3 weeks old

    Ohhh Can't leave you...

The seller mentioned how the only other person that came out to look at her was a farm hand with several small children… wanted the foal as it would be “small for his kids to ride!”

Of course I am a sucker and bought the horse on the spot!

She grew up and became a great horse

At least she's well fed and fat. She'd probably be very pretty if they'd stand her up right for a photo.

The hay she's eating doesn't look moldy but the bale on the other side of the fence does. Hope they know the difference.

Agreed. I'm a sucker for chrome myself. The bale on the outside is what I saw.

I guess what I don't understand is why people never get the idea that pictures in ads paint the first impression. Clean her up, take her outside and get good pictures!

The picture in the OP while not "professional" made me laugh in an "OMG - TOO CUTE!!!" kinda way so I would certainly go see him. It leads me to believe that the seller is down to earth and has a sense of humor.

I thought the little guy in the ad was a steal for 200.00 as well. But the 2nd pic was just too cute!

Your mare is very pretty! All of the apps I've been around are really good jumpers...tight knees, very athletic.

They are goofs. I have tons of them making raspberries at the camera, or rolling in strange ways, or laid out like they are dead. Took no time to find a few of them pulling faces for the camera

That's the first horse I've seen that lives in multiple dimension. Talk about doing the time warp.
