Default A funny ad in the midst of a tough hay year :)

On our local version of Craigslist:

New hay for sale, timothy grass mix , poor quality ( weeds and not to green ) - contains no preservatives. . No rain. located south end of Niagarafalls.

They are selling it for $5 a "normal" years (what is normal any more?!) GOOD hay sells for that around here. We are in southern ON, where hay is normally in generous supply. We've had such dry conditions that my hay guy only got off 100 out of what would normally give 175 rounds....and there is NO hay to be found (beyond what I just posted above). We are also seeing fewer suppliers because of chaos in the racing industry that started this spring thanks to our provincial government, so hopefully when the dust settles we will go back to a better hay situation!
Good luck also to all those in tough hay times.

Glad he's not trying to sugar coat things
I like mares. They remind me of myself: stubborn know-it-alls who only acknowledge you if you have food.
