Proof that dressage is NOT boring, even to the new observer
So, to my pleasant surprise last night, my boyfriend (non-horsey before met me) wanted to watch all the dressage that was available on Comcast's on demand (60+ minutes).
Not only that, but...

Boyfriend's cat was FASCINATED by dressage. To the point of ignoring the mouse running around in the next room....
Thought I'd share.

D'awww!
My cat at home used to watch horse racing on TV. Nothing else. He was only interested when it was horse racing. He also loved to lay on anything horsey I brought home.

Oh, unquestionably so. He was totally unfamiliar with horses before started dating me. Came with me to the barn, and got hooked.
I don't ride currently, but just have a retired horse that I visit to groom on weekends. On the weekends that I can't make it out, boyfriend goes out WITHOUT ME to GROOM MY HORSE. No, not making this up.
I am the third wheel in my boyfriend's relationship with my horse...

My non-horsey, smartmouthed husband (who LOVES our cat) but has watched lower level dressage and figures it's all the same, said, "This is just proof that cats are stupid."

My husband (who is fairly horsey now that he married me), actually enjoys watching a few rounds of GP level dressage. He can appreciate the quality of gaits and difficulty of the movements.
But ask him to watch the lower level stuff? Nope!
