Default horses chase bear out of their pasture

Somehow, I just bet the chestnut is a mare!

My boss' son lives in Durango. He said that the rest of the story is that the horses cornered the bear and the bear went on the offensive and they quickly abandoned the chase and ran like hell in the other direction.

That was some super cheesy reporting!

My chesnut mare chased a young coyote out of our pasture this weekend. We thought it was one of our sable shepherds at first but nope.

SHE can pick on the mini horse but damn if she is going to let Coyote bait get eaten.

That looks more like we're curious what is that thing behavior than running it off.

That sounds more like it. They were probably just horsing around until somebear got her panties in a twist.

What caught me as strange was the landowners saying they hadn't seen a bear in over 20 years. Really? Not one in over 20 years in SW Colorado?

Not mine. She hates dogs. Chases mine if they have ever ventured in her area. Her mother is the same but we find little mouse corpses (squished) in her stall.
