EquineLVR, how are you doing? I am so terribly sorry -- I lost my darling Smudge, also 17, last September, and it still hurts. I'm certain that your kitty knew how much you loved her and how hard it was for you to let her go and that she was grateful to you for doing the right thing, no matter how difficult it was. Sending a huge hug and jingles your way, sweetheart.
EquineLVR, I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. I have the same decision to make in the near future and I can empathize with you about what a hard decision it is. I wish there was something more I could say or do for you. *hug*
I'm so sorry. It's the last, greatest, gift we can give them, but it tears out such a large part of our hearts in the giving. The peaceful, painless departure is worth it, however, even if it takes us much time to get through the pain to that realization. You are doing the right thing for your heart cat. She thanks you.
