Almost exactly a year to the day I moved to Florida, I moved my horses into my very own barn. It may be the best feeling ever! I complied an album of some of the construction and the "finished" product. There is still a bit left to go; primarily all of the finish work in the tack and feed rooms. I still have the entire front of the property to complete (pastures, perimeter fencing, entry gates, etc.), but I have 6 gorgeous pastures behind the barn that are plenty for now. I am so excited, I had to share with others who would understand!
Well I have to say that I am insanely jealous!!!! Lovely place - especially as at the moment my place is nearly under water - it feels like it has been raining forever and all the animals are standing off the grass.
What are the white triangular looking things in your fields?
And the fridge! I have the same one. So what? Well, in all my many years, only time I had one with a water dispenser, we moved immediately to a place where you had to bring in bottled water.
There was an old fridge at this house, and last winter, in the midst of a severe snowstorm, it finally bit the dust. Got to keep my stuff cold outside on the deck. Then got a new one when the roads cleared, and the poor Lowe's guy had to haul it up my hilly driveway with a cart because the truck wasn't 4WD. Hooked it up to my lovely spring water and was in heaven. Every time I use it, I'm like a kid at Christmas.
But you have a lot more things to make you happy! Those fenced pastures are beautiful... And the barn is wonderful.
Congratulations on a job well done. Am sure your horses love it, too.
But he thought, "This procession has got to go on." So he walked more proudly than ever, as his noblemen held high the train that wasn't there at all. H.C.Anderson
