Default Are Classic Equine Soft Touch girths machine washable?

I've been trying to find out if they are machine washable, but I can't find anything besides "easy to clean, I just wipe them down and brush the hair off" kind of thing, but I bought some used ones that have sweat/dirt/hair on both the neoprene and the nylon, so I really want to wash them before I use them.

I don't see why they wouldn't be. I have washed other neoprene products.

However, I would use a front loader, cold water, and woolite. The fins on the agitator of a top loader can cut or otherwise damage the neoprene. Trust me.
And then air dry. Don't put them in the dryer!!

Or, put it in the dishwasher. Top rack. Don't use heat dry if you have the option.

    Default machine wash

I wash my soft touch girths in my front loader with regular warm water and HE soap. No problem. I air dry them and they come out great.

Ditto the dishwasher idea, but don't tell anyone else. You tend to get this face when they find out.

Thanks guys! I only have a top loader, so I guess the dishwasher it is! What kind of soap do I use? Any certain setting?

I am sure you could stick them in the washer or dishwasher and wouldn't think twice about it.

For daily maintenance, you can hose them off instead of wiping, you get less hair on yourself and your barn rags and they drip dry very quickly. I love these girths, they are wonderful.

I put mine in my top loader several times. Line dry.
