Cyriz's mom... IIRC I don't think they let you look first unfortunately.

Several. He's also the dam sire of Von Csadek

Hawaii--damsire of Great Gladiator who is the damsire of Karl Slezak's 3* horse Kachemak Bay (ex Let the Belle Ring). Grandsire of Bask Away who was the damsire of Elisa Wallace's 3* horse Jackson. Sire of Fresh Breeze xx who was sent over the pond (Ireland) and was the sire of a Swiss event horse and damsire of an ISH who came to the US and ran a couple of 2*s. Grandsire of Euphemism who got sent to Ireland and was the sire, grandsire or damsire of about twenty five ISHs and TBs with FEI records. One was what looks to be one of Tina Cook's first 3* horses. Another one was Dag Albert's event horse at the Aachen WEG, the Euro Champs, and the World Cup Final. The Euphemism (by Henbit) Irish descendants seem to done pretty darn well for themselves overall. Grandsire on top through Porter Rhodes of Kilcoltrim Ambassador, Lucy Jackson's horse. His daughter Kilavea (sent to Ireland) was the dam of Elusive Quest by Be My Guest, and he's the sire of Shane Rose's International horse, It's a Knockout, who was later sold to Phillip Dutton. There are more, but this will show the quality of Hawaii in event horses.

bump for the mare..you can not look first..it is a total leap but this pedigree is hard to come by..if she does not work for breeding, apparently she was used for lessons and could probably be placed for more than the purchase price.

I'm working on this. By the time I pay her bail, quarantine and associated costs plus shipping, the total will be close to 2k.
If anyone wants to assist, let me know. or if you know of a facility in the area where she could stay will other arrangements are made, that would be great.
I hate to see this one head across the border.

Thank you Cyriz's mom for taking a chance on this mare. My fingers are crossed that you can get her and give her a home.
If she is breeding sound, you have a wonderful find; if not you have done a wonderful thing for a creature that doesn't deserve the fate she currently has.

I really like her and hope you get her. If she needs a place to stop, I have an extra stall.

I wish that I had some spare cash to chip in for her. I've just fixed a major leak in my kitchen that meant ripping up the entire floor and half of the cupboards.

Thanks to all who are trying to help. I have never actually posted something like this before. I hope it works out for this mare. I could send a small amount to help. I am out of work at the moment with my hands not working for grooming and have 4 of my own to take care of so what I can do is not much more than a dribble.

If anyone is serious and can help..
I have done considerable work trying to find Clever Tace's former contacts. None have been able to be reached, except one from the Waquoit connection. If anyone is truly serious, I have a horse coming out of the same place and there is a chance I can help with logistics and arrangement for quarantine. Please let me know if there is anyone here who is interested in following up. Thank you. I have no idea if you can pm people on this forum. You may have to leave me some contact information so I can follow up.

Please please don't get this mare for breeding. I would love to see her saved but there are too many horses in this economy that already need homes and end up at slaughter which is horrific. I really wish folks would stop breeding for a while and let the demand catch back up - it's like a dog or cat. People think if they find a home for all in a litter things are ok. What they don't do is follow the life of each of that litter and see how many unwanted pets end up euthanized each year.
I took a leap twice and got rescue horses from AC4H. The first is a cremello/paint. He fell into some bad hands but has turned into a really nice guy and is a really cool horse (no vices except some trust issues at first which have been overcome) and no hidden lamenesses or illnesses. Second was 2 ponies who have turned out to be more challenging but both workable (young). One was pregnant and we had a surprise baby who is adorable. With the cremello, I was able to get in touch with his breeders, who were so happy he ended up in a better place. However, they happily sent me a picture of a new cremello foal they just had - geez! People have to start getting this!
The broker route isn't for everyone and certainly many have been burned I am sure but for me it worked out ok. I try to focus on the horse and not taking on more than I can handle. I think if I am in a position to rescue again I will go to auction as I now have quarentine facilities. You can outbid the kill buyers and get for much cheaper than the jacked up prices. However, look out for the heartbreak this involves seeing so many you can't help. I am still happy that someone does this and these horses get some exposure they would not get otherwise, controversial or not. I just focus on the horses.
I hope someone helps the mare!

A nice TB mare with the sort of proven bloodlines that are worth at the very least taking a 2nd look at the mare because of, and someone has to come in and give the /bad breeders don't breed hand slap.

Seriously greenie? Maybe I'm just a bit cranky today, but..........THIS IS A BREEDER'S FORUM!!!!!!!!!! THese are not backyard breeders or breeders of "unwanted litters". You are insulting some of the best sporthorse breeders in the US. 99.99999% of the horses in the slaughter chain are not bred by people like us. Thus, when a horse that is of breeding quality does happen to fall into the wrong hands, we do comment on her ability to get to A RESPONSIBLE BREEDING HOME.
NO, it is NOT like a dog or a cat. Mares are not like female dogs; they cannot have two litters of 12 each year that can each have two litters of twelve per year. Mares are not the problem. Why don't you go find some FUGLY stallion and get him gelded for someone.
And as for your "demand catching back up"??? THere is and will likely always be a demand for quality, athletic, papered horses from responsible breeders. What there will never be is demand for fugly, backyard, who's your daddy? - unsound pieces of crap.
You want to fix the slaughter problem? Fix the racing industry and stop the back yard breeders from producing more HERDA and HYPP+ horses born destined to hang from a meat hook. Don't come to one of the premier forums for accomplished breeders and insult and preach to us.
Rant over, carry on.
Ohm and if anyone wants to drop that nice mare off at my place, I have room and a WB breeding for her.

There is always a demand for good quality horses that can compete in sport or the show ring. There is always a demand for well-bred mares and stallions that will produce those horses. There will always be a demand for well-trained horses than an amateur can ride and enjoy.
Apples and oranges.
Good horses end up in bad circumstances, and this mare is one of those.
