Default Such a Sad Day. Godspeed Bunni and Gin.

Today has been a very hard day. We lost my daughter's first horse, Bunni. She was the best horse in the world for a child. She was such a dear horse. She has many times kept DD from falling off by stopping or shifting her body so that she was back under DD. She was blind in one eye but that never made any difference in her. She was always so perfect.
Gin was the most wonderful mammoth donkey. When we bought her, she had huge harness sores on her and they were riding her around. She was so worried about her foal that needed to be at her side. I bought them both. Gin's coggins said she was 15 but our vet said she was much older than that. Sores healed up and baby weaned, she turned out to be the greatest babysitter ever. Young horses, upset horses, you name it she calmed them down. She was wonderful. It was so hard to say goodbye and then it was hard to tell DD that her darling Bunni is gone. There was not a dry eye out in the field while we were burying the girls, all those tough cowboys. Of course they told me not to tell a soul that they cried over a horse dying. Bye Girls.
I'm so busy.....I don't know if I found a rope or lost my horse.

Alright put your big girl panties on and deal with it!

Sorry for your loss, did you send Gin over the bridge with her friend so neither of them would be lonely?

They were loved and appreciated and at some point you will remember all the happy times more then the end.
    Hugs to you & all.

Godspeed Bunny and Gin. I helped my first 2 dogs over the bridge together - the heavens aligned to make it the best decision for them. Me? Not so good; I'd lost my mom 2 months before. But I was comforted knowing that they would be passing together.

No I found Dear Bunni this morning and Gin was standing watch over her. When I left the pasture Gin gave the saddest bray I've ever heard. Then we went to go get rhe backhoe because a friend was using it and when we got home Gin was gone too. She was just a few feet from Bunni. I think that is what made the boys cry so hard still lots of tears tonight. But we can't tell anybody.

I am so sorry. This is heartbreaking. To lose them both at the same time. Godspeed to Bunni and Gin, and prayers for your family.

I'm so very sorry. Bunni and Gin were clearly well-loved and they remained true friends to each other to the very end. I hope they have found the greenest meadow over the Bridge together.

I am so sorry! That must be hard.
I am not sure if you know what caused them to pass but I would double check the field and such for toxins or something since they passes so quickly together before you bring a new horse in. Just in case.

Oh, this is so sad. I'm so sorry for your losses.

Your girls truly were inseparable and are now together still at the Rainbow Bridge.

May your happy memories of them carry you through your grief.
