Innkeeper is a lovely stallion, but are the Innkeeper babies doing anything? I haven't seen any in person so I can't comment.

Very young so would be a leap of faith, but William seems to be completely trustwothy and is certainly experienced with UL event horses. He's more or less responsible for Harbour Pilot for Ms. Mars. He would tell you if your mare would be a good fit for Jackaroo or not.

Highland Imperious is very interesting because he seems to be the only Master Imp stallion in North America.
Jackaroo sounds like an exciting future possibility for NA event breeders; good find, Viney! I'm also very keen on Highland Imperius and am waiting to see how he matures. It would be interesting to know more about the temperaments of these two stallions, what with Master Imp known for throwing "quirky" offspring...

We had two Innkeeper babies - one is now doing pretty well in CA as a Jumper (1-meter), the other, a 2002 (I think) mare made it up to Novice in eventing. Probably could go higher, but owner has had health issues.

I need to update the photo of "Bro" on our website...

Can't find Formula One offspring? Seriously??? How hard did you look?

Check Denny's site and search the usea database for similar names. Landmark's Monte Carlo (2007), competing at Prelim. SRF Farley's First (2007) competed through Prelim and now competing Novice with another rider (kid/ammy?). African Queen (2008) competing Novice. Phoenix Amani (2007) competing training. Celtic Oak (2008) competing BN with owner. Same with Ferrari (2007).

After this thread had died off I didn't bother to re-post on it, but A few months ago I decided not to breed the mare and she is now for sale. (it was my mom's decision)

I am looking into buying an OTTB.

Thank you to everyone for responding to the thread.

And might I add he (+ the mare) went all out and gave me a darn good one.

He has quite a bit on the ground now. A few eventing here in the US.

    Default Formula One

We have 2 very nice Formula One fillies (full sisters actually). One is a yearling, and one is a 4-year-old with Hillary Irwin who is turning out to be quite lovely. We have shown her lightly and mostly at schooling shows near home this year, but she has placed every time. She won her last competition and had three 8s on her dressage test. She is out of my old OTTB CCI** mare. Of course Hillary is a lovely rider who has brought her along correctly.

    The African Queen

We have several offspring by Royal Appearance and have been very impressed with their temperament and potential for eventing. Not sure if he is standing anymore. Our 4-year-old colt by Royal, Royal Alyance, is with Sharon White, and we have a 3-year-old gelding who was broken in this year and who is lovely.

Also EMCO also has been great to work with and often has eventing stallions.

My mom apparently can't make up her mind, Lol.
She is thinking of maybe breeding her again. She really likes the horse JER suggested, Super Star.
Here is a video of my mare when she was for sale (and is NOT for sale anymore)
maybe that will give a better idea of what she could cross with.
She is super cool, and jumps 4' with ease.

Consider frozen? I just bred my maiden 5yo, with frozen, from home barn(great vet!), success!

The semen happened to be from Joshua, a Dutch bred stallion owned by Windy Ridge Farm in Bethel, PA. Joshua is a son of Roemer, and out of a mare(TB) that was competed thru training level before injury. Mare subsequently produced DAD winners etc. Roemer, known for his great temperament. Windy Ridge known for their breeding program.

Joshua has been breed to several types of mares, including a very nice arab mare(owner was above mentioned, great vet ;0)).

If we breed the mare it will most likely be frozen

She's cute! I've bred a few but my mares are all tall so I've looked at different things than you

My fav so far is my Grafenstolz colt. He is the whole package...and a little love too. Pictures below.

Next year I'm looking at repeating that cross...also really liked the look of the stallion Royaldik. I saw him at Burghley and spoke to a bunch of breeders about him....looks very interesting.

But for your girl....I don't know. I think I would look at Jaguar Mail...or a full TB. Something that will add a length of leg.

I have an acquaintance who might let me lease her 17 hh tb mare... I might take her up on the offer.

I am curious though... What would happen if you bred (through frozen) a 15hh mare to a 17hh stallion.
can it lead to complications because of the size difference?

I bred my 15.2 hh mare to my 17.1 hh stallion with zero complications (it was with fresh and the mare was not a maiden - this was her 6th foal - and she is 22 this year when that foal was born). If that helps relieve your mind any..

There was a study a while back that says that the mare's uterus determines the size of the foal at birth. Not sure that I buy into that completely but that is what the study says.

You should breed them both--then you can have two foals to raise together

I was going to suggest Art as well. I had a really nice filly by him in 2011, and she has been sold as an event prospect. I've seen 8 of his babies in person, and he consistently stamps them with his strong hind end, good mind, and correct legs. His babies are really fabulous movers too. They may not be competing yet, but he has about 50 foals on the ground, and they are very consistent.

Bornfree, how would you be getting Royaldik semen? Is there a North American distributor, or would you be going straight to Ken Rehill? I am curious as he has several stallions (including Royaldik) I am considering using in the future.
