    Angry Smart phone technology-pictures=PITA

Ok, I swear to god that if someone else goes to show me a picture on their 1" X 1" phone screen I'm going to grab the phone and stomp on it!

Come on, the damned picture is so small it's virtually impossible to see. Also half the time you have to spend a few minutes trying to not only find the picture, but if it's sunny, you have to figure out how to show it. If you want to show me a picture of your horse, grand daughter, house etc, print it off and put it in your wallet in at least a size that is viewable. Most women do carry a LARGE purse anyway-it seems to be the trend lately. I realize that is the OLD way to do things but sometimes modern technology doesn't cut it, at least for me. Please, if you really want me to Ohh and Aww about it, give me something to really Ohh and Aww about in the first place.

    OK vent over....

1"x1" screen? I don't know which smartphones you're encountering, but my Galaxy Nexus screen is way bigger than that...

Pssst, if it is an Iphone, you can make the image larger with your fingers and scroll around it to see details.

You can then see the whole horse well, a bit at the time.

Yeah it kinda takes the awesomeness out of the moment when they have to scroll through their phone for a few minutes for that one-in-a-million shot after the big build-up.

"OMG YOU GOTTA SEE THIS PICTURE I TOOK!!!"

    wait for it...wait for it...wait for it...nope, that's not it...more scrolling...I almost got it...scroll...I know it's in here...almost there...here it is!

Huh, what are you showing me again?

Ok, I'll admit I'm probably exaggerating but the pics are still really small.

I recently had a house painter pull up a picture of a house he just painted and I'm sure he didn't appreciate my comment but I asked him why he was painting a doll's house! I think the comment went way over his head.

I'm so glad to see your response. I was wondering if I was the ONLY person who found it kinda rediculous and more of a joke than anything.

Even worse is when someone hands you their phone wanting you to scroll their pictures on their own. My sister-in-law wanted to show me umpteen million pics of her and brother's kids on her smartphone once but didn't feel like doing the actual scrolling.

Cues up the pics, tells me to start scrolling. Apparently I scrolled the wrong direction and wound up getting an eyeful of her an my brother...well, you know. Twas waaaaay more than I ever wanted to know about what they do behind closed doors. Even worse, step-mom was leaning over my shoulder looking too. Embarrassing moment had by all. Happy Thanksgiving.

Gee, do you think your SIL learned anything? Probably not, most people today probably think you really want to see their teeny tiny pics.

BWAHAHAHA I guess that taught them a lesson... or maybe not. Perhaps that was an intentional oops

I love being able to spontaneously see a picture - or two - of something cool, but more than two pictures need to be on a bigger screen, or not on a screen at all because the glare really isn't convenient to viewing large numbers of photos.

Let me add how much I hate it when people want me to listen to "this really great song" and then they take five minutes to find it and then I'm supposed to just stand there listening to the horrid acoustics of an iPhone or iPod or whatever. ugh.

Oh, given the content of the pics I'd say it was definitely not intentional. Neither one had a stitch of clothes on, bow chicka wow wow cue the sexy-time music. It was rather embarrassing. I mean we're a pretty close knit, open family but not THAT close.

I felt kinda bad for her, it was the first time I've ever seen my SIL cry. Everyone else tried to laugh it off but she was just mortified. Yup, I do think she learned her lesson. Now she brings over prints of the photos she wants to show off and leaves the smart phone in her purse.

My Iphone screen is exactly the same size as my nice digital cameras screen.

If people really want to show good pictures, they should either a) get them printed out (what a concept) or b) show them on a big tv screen like we do after a family member has gone on a trip, then decide which ones are to be printed.

LOL, I'd love to use that one except I can't see the end of my nose without my glasses on so I'm always wearing them.

So far I just smile sweetly if I like the person and say nice, but I'd like to see larger so I can get a much better view.

LOL! Reminds me one time when MY SIL had a video of their wedding and brought it over for all to see. Her mom in law and father in law, me and hubby (her BIL).

Started out with her head, moving to another "head", then the wedding appeared. It was only for a split second, but burned on brain forever! I think the wedding was taped over a old "home video" and the wedding didn't record over the first 3 seconds or so...
