Default Is the Continental Studbook active?

I was looking at options for foal registration in 2012 and went to the CS webpage, but its all old stuff. Is the studbook active? The forum page was downright scary.

Being in middle TN it's a long, hot drive anywhere close to an inspection site....I'm looking for ideas if anyone knows what's going on with CS.

    Thanks.

I have been told that, yes, it is still functioning. For information, please contact the registrar.

A friend of mine registered her foal with CS upon my recommendation, but never got papers at least the last I have heard. Anyone able to talk live with a CS person?

Hello everyone. We do not monitor this site on a regular basis, but yes the Continental Studbook is still very active. The last remaining papers from the end of 2011 have been shipped also.

In regards to forums, there is not much demand outside of the Chronicle, primarily due to the active use of Facebook in the equine community. No other forums have really survived as far as I know. The CS has just completed transitioning that type of online activity to Facebook, were more promotion of breeders horses and activities are to occur. The forum is actually not supported any longer, and it has been spammed as a result. It will soon be coming down all together after being replaced with Facebook links, etc.

    Regards, Bob
