Default 18 yr qh/tb g eventer NE Ohio

Placed! Jun 2013. Thanks to everyone who inquired about him.

15.3 hh 18 yr tb/qh bay gelding. I am offering him on a free lease, which could lead to ownership transfer. He would be best as a hack, trail, dressage, companion, horse. He is not offered as a jumper because unless a rider is very light in hand and seat, he can buck after fences. Evented thru prelim; owner fell on hard times so he's been hanging out. Was used as an advanced student lesson horse last winter. Easy keeper, current on vaccs, deworming, Coggins. Lives in a mixed herd. Will need shoes if ridden much (thin soled).

Hey folks, help me find him a home! Sound, personable, easy keeper, but I'm told he gets cranky if ridden in the indoor frequently. Can sit for months between rides. Hacks out readily alone; fine w/ deer, turkeys, coyotes and such. Can be a companion to another horse and/or a person. Running out of options.

Bump. He really needs a job. My ladies have hacked him out, one popped him over a fallen tree. He's an easy keeper; a retired prelim event horse, can be a buddy horse, riding horse or whatever. I'll provide a bow for Christmas. He's fat, furry and ready to go.

I have made a very hard decision. If I can't get this horse placed, then he will be put down this fall. Last year's drought devasted my funds. Just rode him the other day and as usual he was great. Horse is current on teeth, vaccs, deworming and Coggins. No maintenance. Can hang out in herd for months between rides. Easy keeper. I'll take him back if he doesn't work out. Anyone???

Thanks to everyone who has inquired to date. Still seeking home. My timid rerider rode him the other day, w,t,c. He was fine. She commented on how smooth he felt.

We're in NE/E Ohio. A local camp has requested to use him, but I really don't want to go that route as the horses usually end up at Sugar Creek. Please respond if you have any interest or other ideas.

Congrats! So happy things worked out for you and your horse!
Horses should be trained in such a way that they not only love their riders, but look forward to the time they are with them.
