Default The guilty music pleasure thread

Not exactly the 'what are you listening to'
More the 'I can't believe I am wearing this track out' one.

    I start:
Currently I am burning a groove into the Backstreet Boys' Millennium Album, while regretting that I let my BIL swipe my INSYNC CD a few years back....If it was in the 5$ bin I would buy Hanson's Hmm-Bop CD....

But my infatuation goes in cycles....prior to that I had Wet Wet Wet 'End of Part One' on repeat....before that some german Jazz singer...

I have a few musical 'guilty pleasures'.

    Il Divo
    Enya
    ABBA

I'd never admit to it though!

    ABBA and The BeeGees

Rather odd since my taste leans to the blues, rock and old country.

Every time "Call Me Maybe" comes on the radio, I turn it up and sing along. In fact, sometimes I hunt through the radio stations looking for it. Also in fact, sometimes I just YouTube it on my phone to listen to it.

I am also like that with Miley Cyrus.

I won't admit this in front of the barn kids.....got to maintain my music snob rep....but I kind of love this. Like, a lot. It's legit because the Roots are in it.

I also maybe love "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys and have since it came out. And most Kelly Clarkson songs. I really love a good pop song.

Not guilty, really, but I love Saint-Saens "Carnival of Animals."

And I listen to Handel's Messiah all year 'round... the recording I happen to have is so incredible it carries me through long hours on the highway.

I'm lovin' Dave Stamey right now. DD plays the guitar and as we listened to The Bandit Joaquin she pointed out how much he was doing with is right hand while he sang. I love that he tells a story and is also a very good musician as well as having a history with cow ponies and has been a ranch hand.

Other than that, I'm also in love with Lifehouse, and Cold Play and am also listening to some soundtracks from movies.

Well here goes....I'm in my mid 40s and like hip hop and rap. I'm so glad ITunes came along so I can discreetly buy my music without getting the giggles and laughs from the kid at the record store!

There are no groves to wear on CDs.

I can listen to Casals Dworak cello concerto all day long.
Just the right music for the 4th.

My current obsession is the Korean pop group Bigbang. Do I speak a word of Korean? No. But that doesn't stop me from putting "Fantastic Baby" on repeat and turning it up as loud as I can driving down the highway...

But have no room to talk anyhow, you like, like REAL music, cello and stuff!
(I thought you'd give yourself away and profess undying love for Blasmusik! )

I like "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction. I don't like any other songs by that band, but that one matches my mare's canter so perfectly...

I sing along to it if I hear it on the radio, "oh, oh, oh"s and all.

Well, that is kind of classical easy listening, Muzak.
We have all probably heard it in some movie tracks, muted, as background music.

I think it is wonderful and Casals makes his cello cry:

I like most all music out there.
