Default Anyone Want to Help Johnny Depp Learn to Ride?

He's struggling. Maybe the CotHers can help.

He honestly creeps me out. I loved him in Pirates but that's about it.

Yeah, send him to me, Mike. But first make him shave and take off his hat. He'll have to put on a helmet, but I want him cleaned up first.

Oh, yeah, and make him bring Keith with him, please. I'll teach them both to ride.

JD can bring the girlfriend if he likes. Just so long as he brings Keith. I wanted to ride with him when I was 12.

Now I'd probably enjoy it even more.

i was telling a friend of mine just the other day (we've been talking about getting a trainer to come give us a lesson at her barn) that I wished we could get Princess Anne and Camilla to come do a clinic.

Well, hey. That would be cool. But teaching Keith how to ride? That would be sizzling.

didn't he ride already in another movie? I seem to remember him riding and doing beautiful circus tricks in a movie (romance - ) with some equally gorgous andalusians...of coure maybe that was his double?!

The only movie I remember him riding in was Sleepy Hollow. He didn't look like a very good rider in that one, but he was playing a character who was probably not a good rider, so maybe it was acting on his part.

The person playing the Headless Horseman, on the other hand, looked like he could really ride!

That was a stuntman, Ray Park, doing the riding scenes in "Sleepy Hollow," and YES, what a lovely rider he was! Turns out that Christopher Walken is afraid of horses!

He rode in a movie called Dead Man, I thought. But most of the riding shots I remember were him sitting on the horse at the walk.

I didn't realize he used a stunt man for Sleepy Hollow.

You might thinking of The Man Who Cried? Gypsy Johnny and his horses were the only things that made that movie bearable!

Twist my arm, I'll do it. How much of his own stunts did he do in th ePirates movies? I'm thinking he would be fun to teach - athletic, fearless, funny. Send him my way...
