SO and I had a little squabble last night. I think there might be some canoeing needed to soothe over hurt feelings...

Thank you for asking. Actually things have gotten a bit better and I really appreciate all of the advice in this thread (as well as the laughs I got reading through it all). We have a fancy tropical vacation coming up in a couple weeks, just the two of us, so I am looking forward to that and any canoeing adventures it may bring

Um, yes, that might be a tad uncomfortable, requiring a trip for 2 under the waterfall.

Shameless revival! Too funny to leave it alone.

I remember just skimming by this thread when it started, thinking talking about canoeing was silly....then a recent thread made me look again

Yeah, I've not been much into canoeing either since I had my son. It's just tough to canoe with children, and then there's the worrying about money that it takes to live when you're NOT canoeing, so I'm always stressed out and tired.

If DH would just like canoeing less, too, I'd be less stressed worrying about having to go on these trips all the time...

I'm sitting here, reading this thread, minding my own business when DH comes in the room and announces that he's waited long enough and we're going canoeing next weekend whether I like it or not. No excuses, it only costs $20 and we can go all day.

I couldn't help myself -- took a solid 10 minutes before I could explain to him what was so funny. In his defense, he *has* been asking to go canoeing all summer! Hahaha

This is definitely one of those threads that needs reviving every soften. I'm quite sure, OP, that more than you know are in your canoe.
