Default Something attacked & killed my barn cat Pufftail :(

I know it's a risk of an outdoor cat, but I can't stop thinking of how horrible an end it must have been for my poor kitty. I found him this am by my front steps. I usually go out the back so I think he was there over a day.

His tail was chomped off & his back end all torn up. I think he managed to crawl as far as my steps & then died. My heart is aching over how much pain he must have suffered.

    RIP Pufftail

ooooo.........terrible flashbacks!!...that happened to my barn kitty several years ago, and i,too, thought she had dragged herself as far as possible, right to the barn window..........similar damage, and my vet thoght it was a weasal............said that foxes don't kill for fun, like a weasal does.............i was really devastated to find her that way.....as i am sure you were also.................many hugs and sympathies.....that's a tough thing to encounter,i know....so sorry

    Default So sorry

I had a kittly killed in a similar fashion some years ago and we determined that it was neighboring dogs that were packing up. I understand the horror of knowing that your pet came to such a terrible end. Again, so sorry.

So sorry for you. RIP Pufftail.

Happened to me too about 10 years ago. Screamed hysterically when I found her. Had to call my Dad - who lived an hour away- to get her body, I was too upset. Very traumatic.

How awful for you to see...I know this isn't comforting but at least Pufftail got away from whatever it was. Adrenaline is a powerful drug; hopefully it blocked his pain completely.

My heart goes out to you.

I lost my cat Bob to 2 neighborhood dogs here in suburban NJ. Horrid. Big hugs..

    Rest in peace, Pufftail.
