Default Cat Experts: Another "What color is this cat?" thread --REALLY unusual color

This is Weasel, aka "Ferret Face" who is a year old kitty that someone dumped at the public library near me in late January. How someone could just dump this sweet kitty is beyond me. He must have been a "fresh" abandonment because he kept trying to run up to everybody.

I took him home, vetted and neutered him and he is a barn kitty now. He is the "lover" of everyone and is a real lap cat.

He is a very unusual color and I don't know how to describe him.....brown tabby with a gray undercoat? Brown with a siamese pattern that went out of control? There also looks to be some marbeling pattern on him?

He is lovely, I just want a word to be able to describe him! I just don't know!

He looks to be blue and cream. What colour is the nose leather? if it is a slate colour, his base colour is dilute black aka blue (gray). Maybe try thecatsite.com and ask there.......some pretty knowledgable breeders there that are good at the dilute colours

Cute kitty, no matter what! How did he come to be named "Weasel"? That's a rather unusual name...

We are pretty sure he has some Siamese in him, his nose is pointy, he has a long, cylindrical body and has the darker points. I originally called him Elmo and nicknamed him "Ferret Face" but Elmo just didn't suit him, so instead of Ferret he became Weasel.

Looks like a Burmese cross to me. They are often sable with darker points.

I was just looking at photos of Burmese cats and was thinking the same thing. Color wise, the cat forum is pointing me in the direction of chocolate smoke color.

I also think he looks like some sort of Tortie.

I grew up with sable Burmese cats and his face/body type aren't quite right for that.

Agreed that he his handsome colored! Quite a looker.
