I think if you look at the join dates, your theory would be incorrect.

    And back to the mare--

I quite like her and my first reaction was NICE FEET!

I hope you get the cross you are dreaming of.

There are 3 of us? Oh dear
My apologies to the original tradewind. A little late now, though...

I pick her up this weekend

I do like Irish/Irish crosses but think that cross would result in something too big and too solid for what I want. I'm 5'4" - I prefer 16hh ish.

I am hoping to put her to one of the original Andalusian stallions in NZ - Maluso. I have/had two of his already, just had one of them PTS I know I am not going to get a replica of what I have had/currently have, but I do like the TB/Andalusian cross for what I want to do
We want pictures when the baby is born! Also pics of the stallion please(or should I just google?).

is just 16 hands and has some lovely halfbreds.
The American stallion Braveheart has semen in NZ he is another tidy compact stallion from lines that have produced top level eventers and Braveheart is eventing himself. http://www.deanfieldfarm.com/BRAVEHEART_RID.html
The ISH Irish Guard is another 16 hand stallion and is bred from Lahinch who is a great multi purpose Irish Draught you cant get much closer breeding to Lahinch. http://horsetalk.co.nz/irishhorse/st...ishguard.shtml
You really have some excellent small Irish stallions available to you. PatO

I think it's a bit of a misconception that all Draughts are massive. Quite a few nice smaller types.

Marju stood his last year at 25k and he had some very good runners. The mare side of your pedigree has a cross of Grey Sovreign which is nice breeding to have for sporthorses.

    I think you'll get a lovely baby.

I think Maluso will give you a nice foal from this mare. A real little chubby baroque looking thing with a fabulous topline.

Best of luck! And yes, we want photos of the foal!

Hope this works - there should be three pics: 2 x TB/andalusian bay on the lunge and ridden, and my new pony...

She's beautiful! Was her dam the same type as your new
    mare?

I can see why you would like to use the stallion again.

I have done a LOT of thinking and stallion research. As much as I love Maluso I feel he isn't right for my girl (Molly). I've found a stallion (not Iberian, but Dutch) that I think will compliment her beautifully. I have met him and his progeny and am in LOVE http://www.dutchhorsesunlimited.com/.../_APPLETON.PHP
