After bringing her home and giving her time off, I popped on her for the first time this weekend. Let me just say, she was nothing short of completely perfect. In fact, a good description for this ride would be Eeyore. Her gas pedal isn't the most responsive (you gotta work as hard as she does so to speak), but that's not a complaint!! Why heck, she even stood perfectly still at the mounting block to be mounted.
My plan for her is to be my all-arounder. Whatever trouble we can get ourselves into. Naturally, I'd like to take a stab at eventing one day, since I've always dreamed of doing it (it's my secret little goal). My ADD prevents me from loving only one discipline. I do need to start making real goals so I can begin to measure progress and have a solid direction.
As for showing? I've never been much of a ribbon chaser (which doesn't help in the motivation department), but I loved the experience the few times I've done it. Ultimately, she'll tell me what she does and doesn't enjoy. I'm guessing with her laid back personality, there won't be much trouble we can't find together. Time will tell.
Now I just need to hunt out a good instructor in the area. THAT really is my next step.
