    Wow! My dogs have that kind of enthusiasm for getting the lake, but I've never met a horse who did.

    Maybe it's an Appy thing. The first thing my Appy mare did when turned out to pasture this Spring was jump into the BIG irrigation ditch and go swimming! (BO was shocked!)

    I hope the horse didn't actually 'expect' to clear the water hazard. Cause ...um, he ain't gonna make it.

    Oh, I did. The late and much-missed HRH Avery, my OTTB. We had a pasture pond that was about 15 feet of shallows and then a huuuuge drop-off down to a depth of about 12 feet. I would lead him down there on a lunge line and pay it out... He'd start cantering through the shallows and then give a HUGE push off the "cliff" into the deep end! It was *adorable*.
