Viggo Mortensen, but only as Aragorn. He's too chiseled otherwise for my tastes.
How about George Eads? Baby baby, there's a hunka beefcake for ya! Twisted steel and sex appeal, as Holly Hunter would say.
I do happen to think my own brother is better looking than a lot of movie stars. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_wink.gif
Never understood the swooning over Ben Affleck OR Matt Damon. Neither one is all that, in my opinion.
Sean Biggerstaff has an adorable accent and is a real cutie! But too young for me.
Off to find a picture of my brother...

Being a sucker for Oirish accents, I cast my vote for Liam Nieson. My kids got me to see The Phantom Menace several times... Little did they know http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_cool.gif

people kept sending us the action figures. I started crying my eyes out in the funeral pyre scene 'cause it looked so much like him!

ok. I don't know the actor's name, but the man who plays "Baldwin" on NYPD Blue is stunning. That first episode where he took off his shirt in the locker room ....
We were having the "actor you think is hot" discussion at the barn one day, and I said, Tommy Lee Jones - I stick by it. I like him. A manly man
I like Marc Messier too -
I think I like men who have a bit of menace or hardness about them - it keeps 'em a bit interesting. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...n_rolleyes.gif
I think George Clooney is super handsome, and appealing too, because he doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. The downside of him is that he reminds me of an old BF - who is also an emergency room MD ...not a pleasant memory.
But I repeat (since no one took me up on it http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_razz.gif) - handsome, intelligent, creative, plus personal integrity - the Boss, Bruce Springsteen.

Actors: Did anyone mention Gabriel Byrne? Cool guy... I think he even rides, or used to - I've seen a pic of him in Ireland on horseback...

Few things I find more attractive than a nice tall strapping Black Oirishman - nothing swoons me faster than the dark hair and green or blue eyes. Which is why I almost became Mrs Ryan. Then I realized it was not just Jolly Social Drinking on his part and decided that this side of his character was too Oirish for me.

Now I prefer Oirish harses (this is where I'd ordinarily make the reference to Point And Shoot Jumpers, but that could perhaps be taken two ways).

Actually, Weatherford and I have had several delightful exchanges in emails about Oirishmen.

Atypical - Sean Biggerstaff (and really, that IS a doozy of a name) plays Oliver Wood in both "Harry Potter" movies http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_smile.gif.

When I first heard that, I thought that surely Oliver Wood was his REAL name, and Sean Biggerstaff was his name in the movie. I mean, c'mon! It fits the Harry Potter movies perfectly! http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/lol.gif

LOL Coreene, my mileage tallies w/ yours on all counts! (Except you forgot the predilection for starting fights in bars. Piece of hard-earned advice: never, ever, EVER take an Oirishman out drinking in the Deep South. Trust me on this.)

In a continuation of Coreene's thread... I am only 32% pure... OK, that is actually worse (or better http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_wink.gif ) than I thought!!!

Um, I don't really get the whole Bruce Springsteen thing. He just never has done it for me...

Don't worry Kinsella, you are not alone - I never "got" the Springsteen thing either.

At The Meadowlands (temporary home for The National) I crossed paths, in a VERY dark skybox, with a not-very-tall quiet man. He kept in the shadows, talking to a BNT from NJ. I kept thinking "damn, that dude looks good in jeans."
Fool that I am...It was The Boss. Even with the lights on he looked "good in jeans." http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_wink.gif
