Two comments, Erin. First, just another complaint about the pages being too wide http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_wink.gif Secondly, what are the little flags under some people's names? They don't seem to be any kind of link, they're just there.

Yes, when you go to log back in, this is the box you can "check" to get the old version:

Check this option to disable the advanced interface.

Oh, and I'm noticing now that at least some of the new smilies http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...ilies/dead.gif http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/cry.gif http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/lol.gif are availabe even when you check this option to use the "old" version.

I'm just wondering why my Gator login helper is activated every time I open a new page in the new version. It's supposed to pop up only once to log in for me, but with this new version it keeps popping up over and over. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...n_confused.gif

Quick reply is a java window, rather than a regular web browser window. There are no buttons for instant UBB code (bold, smilies, etc.) ... it's basically just a bare-bones way to type a reply. Loads faster, uses less bandwidth, etc.

I think if you know the code shortcuts (like : D for http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif ) you can still type them in. Let's see...

    http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/lol.gif http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...ilies/dead.gif http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...ies/sleepy.gif

    Yep, you can!

Oh, and for whoever asked, I don't really know what the little icon that appears under some people's names (like PrettyFilly's above) is for. Best I can figure out, it just tells you that someone has IM enabled in their profile... but I'm not really sure.

AAAHHH!!! What happened! This is so cool - new toys to play with http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...ilies/dead.gif http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/lol.gif http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...ilies/sigh.gif http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...n_confused.gifI love it!

I'm a bit confused though on why some posts are really wide and take up more than the computer screen and others still fit in nicely.

And where did the drop down screen at the bottom of the page go so you can jump forums quickly?

I really really miss the drop down at the bottom of the pages to jump from forum to forum. As far as I can tell I now have to go to the main forum page to move into another one?? Or am I just missing something?? http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...n_confused.gif

    I HATE change!!
BLAHHHHHH. The screen is all wide now, I can't fit all the text on some of the threads. Things are in different places. The font is different.

    WAHHHHHHH!!

(Thanks for the upgrades, though, Erin. I'm sure I'll suck it up and figure them out soon. For now, though, just let me weep like a girl. I hate change! http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...ilies/dead.gif http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...ilies/sigh.gif!!!!)

I'm working on the wideness problem. Got a question into Infopop about it, and if it's not something they can/plan to fix, I have one other thing I can try.

I was experiencing the width problem, also, but I enlarged my browser to full screen, and when I returned it to its normal 800 x 600 size, the lines wrapped correctly.

Did you fix something, or is this a possible work-around?
