Yes, I have several and I use them pretty much exclusively. I love the convenience of them. All of mine are either beta or biothane though.

I have one I really like from Running Bear Tack. Betathane with the bit straps, not the kind with a whole extra over-the-poll piece. I love the convenience of it - I trailer in it without bit and slip the bit in as soon as I'm unloaded and ready to ride; or take bit out and hook it on saddle D-ring during short breaks - can't misplace it that way. Also eliminates having to do the whole halter around the neck thing at the trail head while changing to bridle in case your horse is the escapee type. I'd definitely recommend one.

i just ordered one from Moss Rock Endurance that is a 4 way bridle...does a halter, a regular bit, a sidepull and bitless bridle. It is biothane also which is the only kind of tack I deserve the way I take care of it! I love the bling too!

I love my sidepull bridle from Running Bear. Its built like a halter. I love it. I can put a bit on it or use it just as a sidepull. Its great on trail rides. I can use it as just a halter to tie him when we stop.

I have a cheap nylon halter-bridle I ordered from Jeffers many years ago. I hadn't used it much until the last couple of years when my "real" bridle broke. Now I don't see any reason to go back to a "real" bridle because the halter-bridle is so awesome. I love being able to clip and unclip the bit and not have to fuss with switching the bridle and halter. I don't like riding with a bridle over a halter, and I know a lot of people like rope halters but I don't. So it's personal preference for me. Now that I'm hooked on my halter-bridle, since it's a cheapie the buckles are getting a little rusty so I just ordered a nice new synthetic one from Taylored Tack! A lot more expensive than the nylon one so I hope it's worth it!

^^DITTO^^...Love mine. It is so convenient and practical. If I want to stop on the trail for lunch(or any number of reasons) I remove the bit, add a tie rope and tie horse to tree. I don't have to fool with a halter under my bridle.

I like them too, but prefer the type where there is a halter, then a headstall. I have 2 where you have to clip/unclip the bit on and I find it a bit tricky if the clips stick, etc. much prefer the separate units. Biothane is the best material

OMG I looooooove my halter-bridles! They are the best piece of tack ever invented for the trail rider!

It is so convenient to be able to hop off your horse, tie him up and pop the bit out of his mouth for a break on the trail. If you do a lot of long trail rides and switch to one of these bridles you'll be wondering why you didn't do it sooner!

Just reporting back - you're absolutely correct . I figured it would be high quality but I was actually amazed when I took it out of the box... the texture and flexibility of the material plus just how awesome it looks... it is definitely worth it.
While I was waiting for it to come in I saw a leather halter-bridle combo in person at a tack store for WAY cheaper and kind of thought maybe I should have gotten that instead, but it was too late to change my order. Now that I've ridden in the Taylored Tack halter-bridle there is NO way I would trade! I love it!
My only 2 complaints are - the color on the computer and the color I got didn't exactly match, but that happens. I'm now a little more PINK than I expected to be ("wine" on the computer looked more burgundy. oops. My gelding doesn't care so neither shall I) and I waited three weeks for the bridle to come because it was CUSTOM measurements but for some reason I ended up having to punch/burn a hole on both cheekpieces to make it fit . They would have fixed that, but I just figured I didn't want to wait another three weeks over an inch.

I have an Imus Ride N Tie Trail Bridle. I really like it but admittedly paid way too much for such a thing. It's $120 new plus shipping. I plan to have a couple more made by an Amish harness maker fashioned after it for about $40.

I just got my Tucker lite and it fits my Arab perfectly.
