I just don't know about that saddle placement, but he has mastered standing quietly in the crossties.

Lol yeah, I went back to add the face so people didn't actually think I was riding my yearling!

First, you need to read body language. The yearling is clearly upset about the saddle, which tells me that you haven't done enough groundwork. Practice practice practice until it becomes a non-issue.

Clearly no one has ever explained to you (and your yearling) the importance of having the saddle properly centered on the back.

Hm, for now I think the saddle is fine, but you may find it restricts motion as you progress to actually riding. Fortunately for you I have JUST completed the designs for my E. Imagined CC (completely customizable) and am preparing to send out the first batch to a tack store near you! Flex slider tree to accommodate any sized rider or mount! Retail will be $75K, special key to adjust size of seat will sell separate for $1K
Saddle comes with complimentary introductory DVD and Okra Wand for all your yearling training needs.
Owned by a Paint/TB and an OTTB.

For a modest $100/mo you can sign up for my blog. Additional $200/mo I have an interactive webinar using Skype to assess you and your yearling's level. Am happy to travel, but require first borns and a kidney to do so.

I think your saddle placement is ok. I do think you should re-examine the fit, though.
