    Question MER Canada

This is a question for all the Canadian Eventers out there. How many pretrainings are required to go training? I have scoured my rulebook and I can't seem to locate it!
    Any help will be appreciated!
To ride or not to ride-what a stupid question!

Based on the link Jealoushe posted you only need two qualifying Pre-Training scores if you are a junior, to move up to Training.

    Am I reading that right?

Training (Senior Competitors) - Open to all competitors and horses (not necessarily
as a combination) until they have completed 3 events
at the Preliminary level or above during the previous
    2 calendar years

The footnote at the bottom reads:
    In addition:
For the purposes of Junior Competitors wishing to upgrade to training – Competitors must have
completed a minimum of two events at the Pre-Training level. One event must have 0 jumping penalties in
the Cross Country phase, and one event may have no more that 20 jumping penalties in the Cross Country
phase. All other qualifications shown above must also be met.

That's how I read it. I know you used to need two as an adult, but I think it changed last year, or maybe the year before?

Oh yes, that was changed this year. Since no one followed the rule in the first place...

Ha! There was a time when you couldn't go to any pre-training events because there were none lower than Training....back in the day!
