    Love it!

Stephen Colbert is the most brilliant political satirist since the advent of television.

I went to feedback page http://www.comedycentral.com/help/programming-feedback and submitted this

"Members of the Chronicle of the Horse bulletin board community are wondering if you have any "Colbert Nation" or "Colbert Report" labeled foam fingers that we might purchase to wave at dressage shows.
See discussion of your segment here
http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=357060 . We are very appreciative that our little known sport has received recognition on your show and would like to show our appreciation by purchasing "Colbert Nation" foam fingers.

Thank you for your consideration. "
Nothing says "I love you" like a tractor. (Clydejumper)

The reports states, “Elizabeth reported that she accidently put down this pony, ........, at the show.”

Now if Mr. Colbert could just do a piece on the Obamas vacations.. Joe Six Pack can't relate to that either.

    Default Not just shows

I rarely go to a show, much less show in them. Heck, I want one to use to desensitize my somewhat less than (ok, much, much less than) $100,000 dressage "pony." It would be fun to use them to cheer on fellow riders at my monthly clinic!

Aaahhhh.... such a clever liberal he is. I wonder if he's ever done a similar segment on Jackie O, since she was an equestrian too. Oh, and the queen's granddaugher is an olympic hopeful now with her horse; can we look forward to something just as disrespectful about her? I'm betting not.

Almost as funny as the video was reading the replies from Mortally Offended Dressage People.

SO VERY GLAD that COTHers, even over here where I rarely venture, have their sense of humor in the right place.

I sent the link to my SO with the comment that I expected him to have a giant foam finger with my horse's name on it for our next show. He'd totally do it, too, so I hope they take your suggestion!

OMG that was soooooooo funny!!!! Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the comments about the equestrian fantasy league, the horse on the top of the car and "kids, just go out and buy yourself a $100,000 Hanoverian". Brilliant!! I'm with you guys-time to break out the foam fingers and the cheap beer at shows. Don't forget the hollering "WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Definitely we have to take pictures and post them somewhere and send them in to Colbert. Hahahahahaha!

Considering that Jackie Kennedy has been dead for close to 20 years and was not really relevant in the political realm for a couple of decades preceding her death I doubt that she'd be the target for any political pundit today.

I don't know what the Royal Family has to do with current US politics but last time I looked they aren't trying to identify with working class Americans.
