They will actually give her away to a good home. Gail and Mike are great people who really do right by their horses and will be honest to a fault. I saw this mare at the track and really liked her. Well balanced and looked very athletic. They said she is a quiet ride and really nice to work around. She has been on the farm since the winter and is ready to go.

She's adorable! And I LOVE her breeding (Char was a Turn-to line and I haven't met a Buckpasser baby that hasn't been athletic) Anyone want to send her to me??

She is a nice looking gal. Not too far from where I am located...too bad the last thing I need right now is to own a horse. I'd like to get involved with OTTB's again. Loved my last one. I hope someone snatches her up soon and she goes to a great home.

What a gorgeous eye -- that's always the first thing I look at that and that mare has something special between her ears.

She's lovely. I wish I was in the market for a second horse. Alas, not right now.

For those of you on the fence....thinking a TB mare is "too much" this or that...please go look at the photos from the MAHR All TB horse show on Saturday. That show was ALL thoroughbred. And most of them were ridden by KIDS. They stood around the back gate falling asleep. They were just awesome, just incredible to see -- and MANY were really close to having been at the track (one I know was only two months off the track), and horses like Brazilian Wedding and a couple of War Horses (horses who won over $100,000) were packing kids around and generally acting pretty wonderful.. I think the old hack, "crazy Thoroughbred" is about DEAD. Nothing could be further from the truth and the All TB show proved that. So...look again at this mare and then just go get her! If you need someone to look at her or ship her or keep her until you can get her let me know. I am close by as are a few other COTH'ers.

    Default Tried calling

She's very nice--exactly the type of horse I've been trying to find but I hadn't been looking at horses in DE because it's quite a distance from me. Considering her price, figured I'd call but it went to voice mail but wouldn't let me leave a message because the mailbox is full.

She looks like a mini-version of the Buckpasser gal I'm working with! Who is a total sweetheart, very athletic, and the most easygoing horse I've ever met.

    Someone get her!

I like this mare a lot.

If I were closer and didn't already have 5 mares, I'd take her.

Thanks for sharing the email Jleegriffith! I sent an email and hopefully will hear back. If she is still available, I would definitely appreciate someone who is nearby taking a look at her for me as she's a bit too far away for me to just pop by to look at

You can tell from the pictures that the mare is special. She just oozes a quiet kind of class. And those eyes!

I would totally trust JLee's judgment, and she already told me what a nice mare she is-plus her owners are top notch horsemen....

I've been on the fence about getting a horse for myself lately. I have horses to ride and work with. It's not the same... but I also don't have any bills. I've been out of ownership for quite a while and it's a little scary getting back into that. That said, life's thrown me curves and it's time to get back to what's important to me... find my Sine Qua Non.... and I think that's horses. So... I've PM'd JLee to make sure she'd be willing to go take another look at the mare... and I've also emailed the owners at the email she posted. Can't seem to get her face out of my head. She reminds me so much of Char.
