Default Ever get irritation from helmet chin straps?

Just curious if anyone has experienced an irritation or abrasion from the chin straps on your helmet. My straps aren't tight but I seem to be having an issue with it. Don't know if it's the material or ?

Do 7 stitches from the chin strap buckle count? Otherwise? No.

Don't really ever have that problem but maybe you have your's too loose that it moves about against your skin, but not so loose that it pretty much doesn't touch you. Maybe try tightening it or loosening it a bit to see if that changes anyhting.

Mine does when I get hot/sweaty. Doesn't matter what the material is, or if I make it looser/tighter (unless its so loose that its useless, which I won't do) I just try to keep it clean in the hopes of cutting down on irritation. Which doesn't seem to make a difference anyway.

So, I am of no help, but I feel your pain, literally.

I've had mine get a little itchy/irritated when I get really hot/sweaty and wear it for extended periods of time. If this is a new problem with an older helmet that you haven't had any problems with before then I'd look to that. It could also be just a touch too loose and rubbing. Maybe try wrapping it in moleskin or something non-irritating. Also, Band-Aid makes an anti-friction product that could be useful. It works really well for shoes too. Great for tall boots, heels, and new shoes!

Mine did, but only once... it was very odd.
