There are two men at my company who work in a different department. One works full time, the other works part time.
They're always together. The part-timer will come in and sit with the full timer even when he's not meant to be at work. It's been going on for over six months now. It's driving me crazy- I feel like they're not doing their jobs properly. I don't see how they can do their jobs properly when they're constantly talking to each other. (And there has actually been complaints.)
Their female boss won't say anything to them because she hates conflict.
It might annoy me on a superficial level, but I can't see myself being driven crazy by it unless what they were doing was affecting my ability to do my job or creating more work for me, something like that.
Thanks. I think it's bothering me because their office is next to mine and I can hear them talking/laughing at crude jokes all day long.
That would probably annoy me. Especially if (a) I needed to concentrate and (b) the area was otherwise quiet so that you really couldn't help but hear and follow everything they said. A lot of voices can to some degree blend into one another, but an isolated, prolonged next-door conversation like that, not so much. Not for me, anyway.
