Default Your Fantasy/Mental Image for the Day regarding Boyd's/Neville's Movie:

So I got to thinking about the movie they are making (or going to make) about Boyd and Neville yesterday and I came up with a fabulous idea that the Hollywood bigwigs should consider:

    Hugh Jackman as Boyd.
    In breeches.
    Without a shirt.
    On a horse.

Dunno why I thought of it, because normally I don't really care about these things. But hey - everyone is allowed a moment, right?

They are making a movie about Neville and Boyd? Really? Wow! if this is true, then we really should have Boyd play himself. Yum.

I just can't imagine anyone playing Boyd. He has to play himself.

Agreed! And all this running through my head is a PERFECT distraction for having to work just before leaving for a HT!

You know who should play him if he can't? Simon Baker. He's also Austrialian, and I think they look a lot alike.

    Ohhh....excellent point!

I just figured Boyd would be too busy riding/training etc. But it would be something to get Neville to play himself!

Brett Tucker, the Australian guy who played Max in The Saddle Club series, could play Boyd (do a Google image search--you will thank me). Or Boyd could play himself. Either way, I call dibs on the role of Silva.

Brett Tucker is an excellent choice.

I never realized how yummy Simon Baker was. The only reservations I have about a movie are the riding scenes. Are they going to dumb it down for the general public? You know, make the fences 2' a la Something to Talk About and have 6 different horses playing Neville.

Does Simon Baker ride? He'd be a good choice in my unbiased opinion

Don't think so. But they could use a stunt rider for the jumps (not like can you really see their face too much with the helmet) and then a mechanical horse for close-up galloping scenes like in Seabiscuit.

...before getting all hot and excited, ladies - the movie people often write up a movie offer on the possibility of there being a rags to riches story. It won't happen if he is not selected, probably not if he does not win!
