    Default Finding a Working Student

I know there are many out there looking for a chance but finding them seems difficult. I have contacted a few equine department heads at schools like Findlay, Johnson and Wales, and Virginia Intermont. Any more suggestions on schools I should contact or places to advertise?

I looked into Yard and Groom but they want a lot of money to post an ad so I'm gonna try the free options first!

    Thanks in advance!

Yard and Groom really is the way to go unfortunately. Also it wouldnt hurt placing it on your website, facebook etc

As someone looking for a working student position, I tried asking around on here, first, and that ended up leading me to the barn I am at now, which is turning out to be quite a lovely situation. I also checked yardandgroom, facebook, and word of mouth. You may also have some luck trying to get in touch with the governing body of whatever universities' riding teams are local to you. Good luck!

In my search for a WS position I check websites, facebooks, results, and then also through word of mouth. I also just email and sometimes people would forward my email on to other people. So maybe talk to other local barns and get the word out that you're looking.

Morrisville State College is another school in which always has students looking for internships/work study.
