Default gift ideas-Update post 1 with idea

Next month I am going back to Germany and will be meeting up with some horsie friends (all are from foreign countries). I would like to bring a small gift for each of them that is "American" in nature and horse related. There are 4 women and 1 man. They are all either breeders and/or dressage riders....no jumpers.

    Any ideas???

UPDATE: I buy all my halters & leads from Quillin Leather maker in Kentucky. I was thinking about getting these nice engraved key chains. What do you think? Should I get traditional brown leather (very equestrian looking) or a funky colored leather like blue or red?

    brown

Not horse related, but I brought some maple syrup as gifts for some people in Germany which they appeared to appreciate. Since you don't want to take liquids, you might try candy or powered..

The horseshoe nail art won't get through the screeners. Whatever you send you can have it shipped to your hotel and it will be there waiting for you. That way you could send the Cowboy Magic. I had to do this a lot when I was traveling with tools. It is a lot easier than scrambling with heavy bags on an International flight too.

I'd like the crazy colors but only because everyone else has brown... So if you're going for American tradition, I'd gift brown.

If you really want to take some Cowboy Magic (which I bet they'd love), double-check with the airline. I believe you can stow liquids in your checked bags, and for an international flight you may not get hit with a charge to check one bag. Have fun!

Not being a key fob person I'd rather the name bracelet
    - for the letters, you might choose a word/place that is evocative of a shared memory.

I like the colors and I am usually a traditionalist. I think that is a nice gesture (bringing the gifts)! I love Quillan too!

Very nice. I'd get the traditional brown. And instead of their names, I'd put their horse's or farm names on them.

Well, I'm usually told that I'm not afraid of color, but on this one, I actually like the brown ones better. And what a sweet gesture! I'm sure they'll love whichever color you pick!
