No was just told " we bought a new much bigger farm". Maybe she has a business partner or spouse who's name its in?
Well Hubby is also named on the mortgage that was foreclosed on, so no one is lending to him.
Maybe Jill has an invisible partner with a few million (you are not buying a farm in CA for anything less), sitting around to bank roll her breeding operation... willing to buy farms for her, but not willing to pay the vet or feed store resulting in Judgments?

It would be possible for her to apply for a loan for a new farm before she defaulted on the first mortgage. NOT saying this is what she did, just saying it is possible to do that, and I know someone who has.
No idea in all of this but there had to be money at one time or from someone. She was already defaulting on things and still buying mares and stallions , I know she has gotten a few mares on payments a few free bee's and some on trade but for a bit she was buying up pretty high priced mares and a new stallion or two when people were already starting to complain about what they were owed
"I would not beleive her if her tongue came notorized"
While several people on this thread have suggested contacting the local police, the police consider this a civil, not criminal issue. In essence, JB is in breach of contract with you, which is different than if she literally stole your horse off your property. You entered into a sales agreement with her, and she didn't make payments as stipulated in the contract. While this is tragic, it's no different legally than someone who goes to the local car dealership and buys a car signing a contract to finance the car over time. If the buyer doesn't fulfill the contract, the police don't arrest the buyer. The car gets repossessed.
Since JB has evidently posted your filly for sale on the internet, make sure you print the ads or screen shots of your filly before asking the websites to delete them. They will come in handy as evidence if you go to court. You mentioned that you have contacted an attorney, which is good, because you will probably have to sue her for the return of your filly.
As for locating the filly, ask a friend to call JB about the ad and express an interest in buying the horse. If JB is planning on selling her, she will have to let prospective buyers look at her.
Please keep us updated on the return of your filly!

Just out of curiosity, what happens if the car cannot be repossessed? Say it was hidden well for a long time. Then what does the bank do, go to court? So you get a claim and delivery action through court, and if someone doesn't follow the claim and delivery do they get arrested? I've never dealt with this situation, but it looks like this is the process. I wonder if this can be done with the horse.
i tried to have someone go and actually see first hand if my filly was there, but Jill locked her front gates and the only way in was the climb through pastures and over fences......jill never locks her property to my knowledge.....i think she is worried!
For those that don't know, Jill has been a regular poster on this forum for years...so I'm guessing she's likely following this thread...and ALL of the other "I got ripped off by Jill threads". So to all of the people who have suggested sending someone there to look at the filly or contact Jill about purchasing the filly...the jigg was up long before it started.
I realize people with borderline personality disorders don't think there is anything wrong with them, but seriously, someone in Jill's life needs to get her to a doctor and get her assessed. Honest to God, at least once a month a new thread is started on here about someone else she's recently screwed. It's really getting out of control and you almost wonder if the entire COTH BB is getting punked!
Watch, next month her blog will be about how horrible pony hunter breeders are. Seems to follow anyone who tries to actually voice an opinion on this subject.
