    Default Pretty trail pics

Chris and I went back to Big Creek, the same place on the NC line where I camped the previous weekend. It was hotter than heck here, but lovely up there.

We did more river exploring and rock climbing than riding, and it was a blast.

Nice waterfalls! Two thumbs up for standing on a moss-covered rock in the middle of the stream without slipping and getting yourself all wet, or at least your one foot up past your boot, not that it's ever happened to me

Lovely! If you're on FaceBook, you need to post the "ears" one to the group: As Seen Through Horses Ears.

I did slip in once, following the kid across. He's 13, 6'3" or a bit more, and his legs are looooooooong. I couldn't quite get my chubby middle aged self to "follow in his footsteps", lol. We really had a great time. It's nice to have the cool mountains as an escape during these hot days.

How awesome that you and your son are able to go do that together! Beautiful trails, and what fantastic time for you two to spend together.

I always love pictures taken between the ears of a horse. You can almost imagine what they are thinking.

Great pictures! So nice that your son shares your hobby and the two of you go trail riding together.

We have an extra horse, so his friends, or mostly his girlfriend, can ride w/ us. That helps! His horse was born to my mare when he was six years old, so he is really bonded to our horses. That helps too.
