We've seen the thread of favorite user names but some folks have names that I just don't get. Brylntrp was one but now "I got it". Here's another I don't get...

Hoopoe? What in the world?

What about everyone else...is there a username out there that someone has that you'd just looooooove to hear the story/meaning behind it?

but every time I repair a horse blanket my husband tells me I should change my screen name to "horseripblanket" or something like that. (We have 7 horses & since they all have turnouts, stable blankets & sheets, I repair a lot.)

"stay away from gray" (breeches, I mean...not horses. grey horses are fine...but gray horses don't like paisley!)

It's my farm name, a combination of Kris and Wendy. Kris planned this farm (when she was 12) but she's only visited it once Now that I raise Jack Russell Terriers instead of ponies, she'll probably never come back... Bumpkin is a Pony from the Hobbit

Bumpkin:
One of the ponies belonging to Merry. Bumpkin was named such during the hobbits stay with Tom Bombadil. When the Prancing Pony Inn was raided, the ponies fled to Bombadil, who later sent them to Butterbur.

If You Look At My Profile

You will see me riding the real "BUMPKIN"
Her show name was Pantomine and her racing name was Fallacy's Hope (Pan Man x Miss Fallacy).

I prob should change my name to "Elliot" since he is my replacement for Bumpkin after pining for her for 20 years...but I have been Bumpkin on here forever it seems.

Here is part of the Poem in the Hobbit...

Tom Bombadil's songs

Hey! now! Come hoy now! Whither do you wander?
Up, down, near or far, here, there or yonder?
Sharp-ears, Wise-nose, Swish-tail and Bumpkin,
White-socks my little lad, and old Fatty Lumpkin?

My horse's showname is Moonlight Serenade, so I just shortened it to serve as my screenname. Lately I've been confusing myself with Serendipity, though...so maybe I should change it. Does it confuse anyone else? (Probably not, seeing as I don't post very much...)

Wow, Bumpkin, you almost had me wondering, "What pony? I owned a pony named Bumpkin?"

My username is the name of my Schnauzer. I also just like that name. It's prettier than my "other" nickname, "Lulu" or "Lou". I've been known to assault people who call me that in public.

Dragoon is another word for "calvary", and it's also the name of my new horse.

Why'd I choose it? Because I'm obsessed with Jason Isaacs (evil Colonel Tavington from The Patriot ) and his Green Dragoons I love Jason more than I love Hugh Jackman!
