After perusing this board for awhile, it seems to me that there has to be other "mature" members like myself.
No offense, but I'm not referring to the "Eeeek, I'm 30" crowd or "Oh,Lord, it's over, I've turned forty" gang.
The ones I want to hear from are the fifties and up....the higher the better. I think we have some interesting insights about horses and riding that would be fun to share. (For instance, why can't someone put huge numbers on every jump. If can't remember my husband's name sometimes, how can I remember what's after the oxer.
So if you recall Spin and Marty and the name of
Tonto's horse, stand up and shout it out.

Yep, there are a few of us folks "of a certain age" here. In fact, I remember seeing a signature that mentioned the "fossils over fences" clique.

I remember Rodney Jenkins as a young man, I saw Frank Chapot jump San Lucas in the Puissance at Washington, and I knew and rode with both Gabor Francia-Kiss and Hubert Rohrer when they first arrived in this country.

Sigh. I'm old.

Me ? ....A definite old bag (hence, the moniker), but still riding Jumpers. I think I am a slow learner! Nearly everyone else has learned that it is wiser to get off, but not me! I still love to ride...and train...and teach...and show. My mother had hoped that I would grow up and act like a lady one day, but, alas, that never happened.

Born in 1948 - parents always thought I would outgrow the horses but never have. Now have a 20 yr old retired jumper and a 5 year old hunter. Have 4 sisters - 3 with horses so parents really never had a chance.
