Isn't that Moesha in the first picture (haven't looked at the rest yet)? Is "Turan" the same persona as Moesha?

I was just so devastated to hear this news.

My heartfelt condolences to you, Turan, on the loss of your wonderful partner. I enjoyed following your show ring experiences both here and on Towerheads, and I loved seeing a great TB success story in Max.

Take care, and you are in my thoughts.

Turan, I am so so sorry. I had never even met Max, but just reading what you wrote about him, he sounded like a fabulous horse, and it sounds like he gave you many great years in the jumper ring.

Here's to Max!

Turan, I am so sorry for your loss. I always find comfort in this quote - for me it sums up why we continue to share our life with other beings who will leave our lives much too soon.

quote:
"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan."

Irving Townsend.

The quote is from the book Separate Lifetimes which is described as collection of essays about living with animals and coping with their loss. The essay containing the quote is The Once and Future Prince which is, maybe not so surprisingly, about a horse named Prince who was rescued from an auction.

Once again, my sincere condolences.

Nina

Looks like he was a beautiful horse.

My sincerest condolences on the passing of your equine partner and friend.

Why does it seem as if this year has had more than its fair share of losses?

So very sorry for the loss of your partner, Max.

I give you this one thought to keep –
I am with you still – I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am on sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone—
I am with you still – in each new dawn.
