I have two favorite memories of Turan and Max - both from this year --
I remember standing in the rain at the GP ring at Culpeper with our trainer, watching Turan and Max win the Modified Jr/Ao class. Those jumps looked gigantic and Max clocked around like they were nothing. I will never forget Max flying over the triple bar.
The second is from the GM clinic at our trainer's a couple of weeks ago, and how completely accurate Turan and Max were to every fence.
Max, it was an honor knowing you - there will never be another like you.

Turan, you and he were lucky to have had each other, and from all I have heard you accomplished a lot together in a short time. You and your dear friend will always be together in your heart.

I am so sorry for your loss. I watched you at Quentin and the 2 of you had so much fun. It's so hard when we lose a special friend. Take care and know that you are in our prayers. Remember the rainbow bridge.

Awful, awful news.
By all accounts, a stunning and heartbreaking loss.
What great times it seems they had together! No doubt Max knew how very much he was loved.

I am trying to decide among my favorite memory of Max and Moesha:
1) Moesha's breeches getting stuck in the pommel over a large oxer at Culpeper and the resulting abuse he endured from the EH fashion police
2) the birthday party/orgy thrown by Moesha for Max, also at Culpeper
or 3) the embarassment poor Max faced after his rider went skinny dipping in the wading pool outside the tackroom at Upperville.
A wonderful horse and partnership.
