Hooray for Secrets Only!!
Oh what fantastic news -- thanks for sharing, FF, and please uge your friend to post updates on the FLF Roll Call thread on COTH and on our FLF Facebook page.
Secrets Only was one of my absolute favorite horses we have listed ever (except for Truffula of course ). Gorgeous, classy, fantastic mover, great mind, well cared for by a great horsewoman. Your friend has herself one very fine horse indeed!

I don't know that she'll be able to post on CoTH: she and her hubby are a pretty busy couple (and I do mean BUSY: they run their own business, have 2 kids in college, have all the ponies to tend to, she does agility with her corgis, he just picked up triathlon competition, they both also do falconry... gods, I know I am missing something), but I will be happy to post updates as I get them

More good homes to announce! Traz went all the way to GA. Thank you to her new owner for dropping what she was doing to make a very long trip to meet the van and pick up Traz for the rest of her trip home. Beach Assault, Peaked Performance and Kingston Five are in their new homes too.
There are some very nice new horses on the Trainers' list and on Monday I'll be back at the track to finish what I didn't finish today.
If you're ready for a new horse there are many sizes and dispositions available from the various organizations working out of Finger Lakes. Check all of them carefully to find your perfect match.

I really like the new little guy Paws Up, looks like he'd be a powerhouse xc. However, he is registered as a filly...?

Thanks for the enabling S.R18.
Should you need further photos, there are thirteen new horses from this weekend and if you have been holding out for black, then you are in luck.
There is a video for Lovely Promise and some new photos and video for Genuine Offer.
There is not a whole lot of time left, so get your winter projects lined up!

Ok, I look at all the wonderful horses at Finger Lakes multiple times a day and I just wanted to give this guy a little extra exposure, http://fingerlakesfinesttbs.com/neverbeencity/.
This guy has raced 87 times and still looks to be a sound, attractive mover! These experienced veterans have always been the easiest ones to transition to a new job, in my experience. Would just love to see this sweetheart get a chance at a second career. Come on, look at that head shot, sweet or what?!

Neverabettercity
Tux, your good wishes vibes have worked! We were just contacted today by someone who is picking up Neverabettercity tomorrow to take him to a new home. And she is bringing a two horse trailer and perhaps might put another Finest on it! Will update if that second one works out.
Lots of buyer activity lately -- I escorted another group around on Saturday, and I know which beautiful one they have chosen but will wait until the PPE is done to post -- don't want to jinx anything. And others are planning to come look next week, so fingers tightly corssed that several more Finests will be getting new homes soon.
And a steady buyer of Finests is coming with trailer on Friday, hoping to put two more on it.....
The extensive placements lately have been so gratifying. And through our e-mail and FB we are getting great happy updates from the ecstatic new owners. Just heard that Tanzillion (Tanner) started jumping! And Walkin Boss's new person is over the moon happy with him and already plotting next year's show schedule he is progressing so well.

I have made it this long without looking, but I just had to.....
As always, FLF has some beautiful beasties! Pupcake would be coming home with me if I was looking.
For those who might be considering one of the horses by Regal Classic, the FLF mare I had by him is the kindest, sweetest, prettiest mover who will do anything to please. I've heard similar about others by that stallion.
Y'all ain't right!

Another plug for Pupcake. I've been eyeing that mare up all week. If I had somewhere to put her, I'd be bringing her home.
And, she is with the same great trainer my mare came from in 2010. My girl had great care at the track and was clearly well loved, as she is the type that thinks all people are friends. She trusts anyone and everyone and was obviously never given a reason to do otherwise.
So yeah someone take Pupcake home.... she is lovely, and has a super name, and is coming from good connections at FL.
We couldn't all be cowboys, so some of us are clowns.

Flash is right!
Pupcake is a lovely, lovely mare!
Lucky13 and I just got back from the track and saw many really nice horses. We also got a chance to visit some who have been on the website for a while. Florida Quaker is a quality mare and I cannot believe she hasn't been snapped up yet. Her stablemate was one we photographed this morning and she simply spoke to me! Another truly lovely mare.
I went back to see Merlin Circle who is a people-oriented sweetheart. I think he could be loved on 24/7!
Gottagetthegreen and Illmakeitup, stablemates, are beefy horses that are very impressive in person.
We travelled all around the track and to a couple farms and saw one pretty horse after another. As Buffalo Colleen suggested, if you have your heart set on a horse, you had better get moving. The OTTB cache is gaining momentum and we have the mother lode!

Pretty Victory Has a Great New Home!
I have been sitting on this good news all week, waiting for the PPE. Last weekend I took a group around the track, and they were looking for show hunter prospects. I could see one of those wonderful love stories unfolding as we showed them Pretty Victory -- one of the nicest horses listed this year, IMHO! The person who fell in love called me last Tuesday to confirm that Pretty Victory was the one, pending PPE, which was scheduled for Friday. Well, the good news came to me earlier today: the beautiful mare passed the PPE, shipped right away to her new home, settled right in to turnout, and her new owner reports she has already lunged her and she is a doll and a joy to work with.
We hope to have more good news soon. Our volunteers showed lots of really nice horses to a serious shopper this past Saturday, and she is mulling over her decision. But, as she has told us, there were so many amazingly nice, quality horses that she saw, she feels she can hardly go wrong with whichever one she chooses. And that means she will leave some true Finests still available for others!

A whole new large and varied group went up last night. From young prospects to a great looking warhorse - if you haven't found "the one" take a look.
