Default Groundwork to get through the winter mundane

With winter quickly approaching I'm wanting to keep things fresh and engaged with some new groundwork exercises. This is a bit of a spin off from the thread in the hunter/jumper forum but I wanted to focus specifically on groundwork.

Whether it be clicker training, desensitizing exercises, etc I'd love to hear people's favorite exercises.

I'd love for them to have some practical applications and not be all about fluff but I think teaching him a few "tricks" could be fun too

I have access to a round pen and arena so different options of places to work. He occasionally has a trailer loading issue (more the horse middle finger then anything) that I want to work on during this time so any exercises that might apply to that I'd love to hear.

I won't be drinking the carrot stick koolaid but want to mix it up with some fun things for both of us.

Book and video recommendations appreciated bonus if it is available on kindle!

Thanks! I know clicker training is popular too. Any books preferred over others?
