He was never stellar with his lead changes. I didn't know he ever did the Eq. before I bought him, I know UnJin Moon did him in the jumpers. - he even went to the olympics in seoul!!!

Sight Unseen - Amy and Jill Betuker, McLain Ward

I'm helping out with Galway Bay because its unfair, he kept going until he was like 38!!!

Cami Bonino
Hillary Schlusemeyer (USET finals at 10 yrs old!!)
Susan Fried

many, many others

who rode Polar Bear?
Baltimore (he had a lot!)

anyone remember the name of an Eq horse that Hillary Schlusemeyer had for a while... Shadow something... She won the Maclay at Devon on him in 1993 and then leased him to a girl that now rides jumpers with Leslie. He had an accident on the lunge and was put down. I can't remember his name. He was about 16.3, flat brown, long and lanky

MB, you have a great memory. Herman was Bert's equitation horse, but was not the one he won the Medal Finals on. Anyone else have any ideas?

There's a little story there- Kaoru rode with/ worked for Unjin's trainer, who had promised to get Kaoru a nice horse for the finals, since it was her last year. When it got down to the wire, presto, there was Le Purser, fresh from the preliminary jumpers, braided up and trotting his changes. Needless to say, she was not a contender, although she had been 4th the previous year.

She was a really nice girl- does anyone know what she's up to now? I heard she eventually got out of horses.

Kahuna... with all your QHF knowledge I'm dissapointed...

Brooke Browning and Dereck Braun

I think some others rode him in the Eq before he got to QHF

kd - sorry! Eq. was never my strong point...
I thought Brooke rode Baltimore at one point but I wasn't sure, so I didn't say anything.

You know what's really scary? I used to show against Hillary and Blue Chip and Kristin and Center of Attention, then when I stepped up to the a/o's the next year, I was in the youngers with Anne Braswell and Software. Also, Christy Conard showed my old jr. hunter when we sent her to QHF to be sold. Small world...

Just Another Import was my favorite eq horse. It was someone from Leo Conroy's that had him last. Isn't he ancient now?

I last saw Charge Account showing at either St. Christopher's or Blue Rock in the late 1980s. I think he was doing the juniors. Couldn't believe it was him.

Neil Shapiro and Marley showed the same Legacy?!? Aren't they a good 20 years apart in age, or am I thinking of a different person??

The Legacy I'm thinking of is chestnut, and quite old, although I'm not sure if he could be THAT old I know he was Marley's, because he's retired with the rest of her horses at a friend of mine's barn.
